Two things have improved his photography over the years. In the beginning, digital cameras were new and the technology was limiting, 1.3MP limiting. Today, all the photos he shoots are 6-10MP.
The second and most significant part of his photo expertise is purely experience-related. He’s developed an archive of tens of thousands of photos exemplifying what to do, and what not to do, in the world of photography.
Several years after he received first camera, he enrolled in an intensive 3-year video program. There he learned everything from live multi-camera television to professional grade video editing.
His video training and experiences have enabled him to produce wedding, marketing, training, as well as educational videos.
The summer of 2008 led him to Philmont Scout Ranch in northern New Mexico. There he directed and edited a short promotional video targeted at potential staff members. The video was very well received. He will return to the camp for the summer of 2009 to manage and expand the video department.
Today, his lifelong passion for the outdoors continues to intertwine with photography and videography. He always finds pleasure in capturing imagery that entertains friends and strangers alike.
